Study Of The Student Financial Aid Policy Implementation In Present Situation

Education entrusts the hope of the nation and is related to the future of the country. To develop education is the only way leading to stabilize the society, improve development and strengthen the national power. Financially strapped students are special group who take part in higher education and their situation is worrying. Impoverished family situation pushes them to disembarrass plight by accessing to higher education. The implementation of the College Student Aid Policy helps many financially strapped students complete their college education, and the policy has been affirmed by the community. However, there are still many problems during the implementation of the Student Financial Aid Policies.To find out those problems, this research takes F College as example by Surveying and interviewing the students (including financially strapped students), College Counselors and staff in this college. Using the obtained first-hand information, this research specifically analyzes the five aspects of the problem during the implementation of the Student Financial Aid Policy from different levels:plan, publicity, qualification, implementation, effectiveness. The main reasons caused these problems are as follows: Relevant laws and regulations are not completed; the interests of all parties concerned are inconsistent; powers and responsibilities of the main departments are ambiguity; lack of effective communication mechanisms; the negative impact of human relations culture; College Counselors’enthusiasm is not high. Suggestions and counter plans for those reasons are put forward to improve the funded work.
