Moral Education Function Of College Students’ Volunteer Services And Its Realization

The thinking of college students’volunteer service is rooted in the Chinese philanthropic tradition. To inherit the outstanding traditional culture and give expression to goodness, beady, and truth is highly attuned to volunteerism which is composed of:Dedication, Fraternity, Mutual-aid and Progress. College students’volunteer service symbolizes a new level of volunteering. And it is the vanguard in practicing the core value system of socialism with Chinese characteristics as well as a significant plot point of promoting modern social civilization. Thus, college students’ volunteer service has become an important element to the construction of the spiritual civilization. In the education of university, cultivating student’s morality should be placed first. College students’ volunteer service is not only an effective way and innovation carrier of the moral education in colleges and universities in the new period but also a new standard in the comprehensive quality evaluation of college students. Meanwhile, from the rise of college students’ volunteer service which meets the need of political, economical and cultural development, one can observe that college students’ volunteer service is not only a new carrier realizing the coordinated growth of morality and ability of practice, but also a harbinger to push the development of volunteerism within whole society.This thesis starts with college students’volunteer service and focuses on moral education. It synthesizes the theoretical study and practical exploration on college students’volunteer service and analysis the social function and individual function of moral education. Learning from the theoretical study and experience at both home and abroad, we bring moral education into full potential in the timeliness. It shall seek The implementation approaches of moral education of college students’ volunteer service, including recognized by the society, strengthening the government support, intensifying management of moral education in colleges and universities, raising education level, broadening the construction of social organizations and elevating the height of self realization. Thus it makes clear the thinking of promoting substantial progress of college students’volunteer service and making full potential of the function of moral education.
