Nowadays, the forming process of knowledge is emphasized in the mathematics teaching of junior middle schools. While the traditional mathematics teaching method mainly relies on the teaching experience of teachers and the master of knowledge is through lots of explanations of teachers and lots of exercises of students. Therefore, if teachers don’t pay attention to the process of teaching, their rich experience will just put out students’spark of thinking and hinder the development of students’ consciousness of asking and solving questions. Now we all advocate developing students’innovation consciousness, in which the key point is to develop students’ consciousness of asking and solving questions. In order to improve students’innovation capacity, we must start with training their ability of discovering and asking questions. The study first summarizes the research of consciousness of asking and solving questions in mathematics learning both at home and abroad, and then defines the key concepts of the research. The study also researches the criteria, principles and effective ways of developing the consciousness of asking and solving questions of junior middle school students. Through research the study finds that junior middle school students in Tianjin lack in the consciousness of asking and solving questions and in daily life they don’t ask questions and there’s no long-term training on that for them. After the two years teaching practices, not only the consciousness of asking and solving questions but also the quantity and quality of questions asked by students are increased. Based on the practices, analysis and summaries are formed, and the teaching strategies of developing the consciousness of asking and solving questions of junior middle school students are provided. The strategies include:correcting the relationship between teachers and students in teaching process; encouraging students to discover questions; paying attention to the foundation training of students, and developing their ability of doubt and asking questions; creating harmonious teaching atmosphere and making students dare to ask questions; reforming the learning methods of students and making students like asking questions.
