To Build "big E" Engineering Talent’Ought Attributes—Interpretation of "Engineering with a Big E" Educational Thought in the U.S criteria for accrediting engineering programsThe U.S criteria for accrediting engineering programs is the core ideology of the U.S system of specialized accreditation of engineering, and has namely advocated its concept."engineering with a big E" is the most core concept of the criteria.The U.S criteria for accrediting engineering programs set to reflect the view of "engineering with a big E", reflecting the value of the pursuit of the leading engineering education reform and development,emphasizing on engineering education should return to the project itself, focusing on the systematic, comprehensive and holistic. It also reflects the demand of ought attributes of "big E" engineering talent, and then proclaiming how to build the ought attributes of "big E" engineering talent.The ought attributes of "big E" engineering talent should build from three dimensions of broad professional qualities, comprehensive abilities and ethical quality.
