China famous modern painter Feng Zikai deem that the process ofthe art appreciation: first starts from feeling, second generation istouched, third is empathy, fourth is judgment of beauty, fifth is beautifulcriticism. From the opinion, we can know that the art appreciation startfrom perceptual, to appreciate the works and have feelings, after that,gradually transition to using the analytical side of the brain, anddevelop into judgment of beauty and beautiful criticism. From this, itcan be known that people in the process of the art appreciation oftenbegin with perception of art works, after that engender associate orimagination, and then, arouse reaction of mood and emotion.What make author interested in is that how could children from thebottom class, middle class and the top class in the kindergartenappreciate art works? How could they engender associate orimagination when they appreciate art works? Whether they could bemoved by the figure and situation in the works?The author deep into a kindergarten, selected ten pieces of artworks from domestic and overseas which are conveniently classified,and attempt from three aspects of sensory and perception,associateand imagination,mood and emotion to have an investigation of thechildren’ s appreciation of art works in the different age. Through thesurvey, this text gets the following conclusions:1, Kindergartners are able to appreciate art works.2, Because of individual differences and external differences,children in the same age have different levels of abilities in theappreciation.3,Children in the different age have their own characteristics ofsensory and perception, associate and imagination, mood andemotion. 4,Sensory and perception,associate and imagination,mood andemotion of childrens art appreciate are interrelated and interactional.5, Abstract painting is more conducive to children to expressassociate and imagination.6, Arts appreciation education is beneficial for propagatingnational spirit and having cultural exchange.In the last part, the author put forward the following suggestions:1, In the process of choosing works, we should select those worksaccording with children’s interests.2, Teachers should respect children, encouraging children toexpress opinions.3, Teachers should lead and inspire children in the appreciation ofart works reasonably.4, Teachers should use the environment in the kindergarten to givechildren more opportunities toappreciate the art works.5, Teachers should improve their own aesthetic and cultural interest.6, Parents should broaden the ways of the appreciation of artworks.7, In the teaching of kindergarten, childrens art appreciation cancombines with other fields’ activities.
