This paper firstly take the typical problems which the author meets in the finearts teaching practice as a clue and investigate and analyze some representative andgeneral questions, from the perspective of students, giving them an explanation of theessentiality of the problems. In this foundation, I introduce the viewpoint of projectlearning.Project learning is the learning process whose activity theme is based on thestudents’ practical problem situation and students design and solve a series ofproblems. Judging from the interpretation of this definition, this teaching model willbe beneficial to solve some problems currently exist in art class. As students’independence will enable students to dynamic going into reality. They will build uptheir own knowledge system and achieve the ultimate aim by organizing andexploring the learning materials.In order to carry out the students’ project learning effectively, the authorcontinuously carries on the educational reform experiment in recent years teachingpractice to the fine arts curriculum, and eventually with the help of ceramic art formof the body, with the theme of the modular integration, developing a new schoolcurriculum based on the students project learning pottery. The Curriculum changedthe former sense of curriculum and advocated the establishment of an open classroomwhich means the accumulation of knowledge. We will break the legacy of the lessontime pattern. Our classroom can be a place where students learn the knowledge, it canalso be a place for students to find the information, to use and select the knowledge.In the curriculum implementation, the curriculum design takes the achievementof project product as strategy. Students will accomplish a complete project by theguidance of knowledge, the distribution of groups, the establishment of project goalsand learning sheets, the manufacture and publishment of products. Eventually,students can construct their knowledge framework by solving problems.This article takes the development of curriculum "ceramics" and the project of "Inheritance Pot Culture" in the curriculum as a case. The author will have a detailedcomment and reflection on the understanding and application of the study mode of theproject learning so as to reveal the project learning in junior middle school fine artsteaching mode and its significance.
