Ministry of Education promulgated Guidelies of Basal Education Curriculum Reform(Trying out) in2001.It put forward clearly:chang the Present conditions emphasized acceptive learning, mechanical memory and practice Initiate the students participate actively Cultivate the students many capacities. Besides, the reform of our education system aims to make our educating modernized, international and lifelong actually,the most important things of the Curriculum Reform in our country are to change the present situation that the teachers just spread knowledge, while the students receive them passively in the traditional teaching, and to develop students’creation and exploration abilities by a new teaching pattern, making them learn wisely and building a well foundation for their further education and development.so it comes the Geography Experimental teaching method.This method originally came from famous educator Professor QiuXuehua’s idea put forward in1998. In1993,Professor YangXin,the tutor of the author of this essay, advocated that the spirit of Experimental teaching method should be used in the teaching of Geography,and he did a lot of experiments to form a unique teaching called Geography experimental teaching method,which is work by the interactive named "lead after the first trial" between teachers and students. And this help students to achieve success siginificantly. This article is mainly based on my research on teaching theories and my teaching experience during the three-year study. While I was preparing for the article, I have carefully collected and studied the fruits both abroad and at home in the fields of the Attempt teaching theory, Geography teaching theory and the New Curriculum Reform. Employing the questionnaire method, interview method, observation method, I was able to apply some of these fruits to this article. Generally speaking, this article has been divided into four parts. The first part focuses on the necessity and the possibility to introduce the Attempt teaching method into Geography curriculum, which was the result of the analysis of the importance of Geography teaching as well as the New Curriculum Reform, including its requests, the changes among teachers and students during its process, and the characteristics of the text book under this background. The second part figures out in detail the way how to apply the Attempt teaching method into class. This part can never be theoretically useful if the related theories haven’t been studied. The third part is about the practical use of the Geography attempt teaching method. So it is certainly the main body of the article. Its practical use, through its module and its cases, are basically reflected in teaching designs and teaching organizings. The fourth part has analyzed the preliminary result of the teaching experience. When the scores between experimental and contrastive students have been compared, the Geography attempt teaching method can further prove to be necessary and practical. I also find some problems during my teaching, for which I have also tried to give some suggestion to solve to accelerate the development of Geography teaching.
