Design And Devlepment Of Test Paper Management System Based On Barcode Technology

As a new educational mode, online education has been developing fast in recent years. There is a rapid increasing in the number of off-school studying centers and students, thus bringing about the challenge of test paper management in the final examinations of the Network Education College. The old way of recording on the register cannot keep pace with the development any longer. Therefore, how to manage the test papers effectively and accurately has become a problem which the Network Education College must face up to.With the development of logistics, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is playing a more and more important role in logistic system. Establishing a sound enterprise WMS is significant for the standardization of the disorder in logistic development, for the optimization of management of logistics and supply chain, and even for the improvement of operation quality of national economy.Introducing the idea of warehouse management from logistic management, combined with the practice of School of Distance Education SWJTU, this paper designs and exploits Test Paper Management System. The system automatically identifies the stock in and out of the warehouse of the test papers through barcode technology, centering on which, some subsystems, such as Test paper Stock in and out Management, Test Paper Label Printing and Test Paper Shelf Management, therefore forming an integrated information management system.The main points of this paper are as follows:1. Statement of the background of exploiting the test paper management system. Analysis of the problems and difficulties in present test paper management;2. Analysis of the requirement of a test paper management system. Argumentation conducted from the aspects of system construction goal, operation process and system design principle.3. The design proposal of the test paper management system. Detailed design in functional modules, users, developmental structure, developmental instruments, etc. of the system.4. The realization of test paper management system. Elaboration on realization of barcode model selection and realization of main sub-functions.5. The operational state of the test paper management system and its improvement direction in future.
