Hair coloring is very popular in high school,although it is forbidden by the school rules. The students with different color hair are criticized by teachers strictly, and unhappy incidents happen frequently between teachers and students. It is necessary to find an effective way to do with hair color. The No.5middle school of Linxiang is a rural school and is investigated in2011. According to the collected data, this paper discusses how to reduce the number of hair coloring students with the fashion culture.The investigation methods and procedure used in2011is firstly introduced in Chapter2; the current status of hair coloring is listed, including the ratio of hair coloring students and the pressure of hair coloring students; then the impact factors of hair coloring are analyzed, such as sex, grade, class and family; finally, the reason that why high school students are eager to color their hair under great pressure is discussed.The teachers are categorized into four groups in Chapter3, namely moral education teachers, class advisors, science teachers and arts teachers. Moral education teachers and class advisors cannot agree with the behavior that high school student color hair and they believe it should be forbidden strictly. Science teachers also do not think it is right, but they do not criticize students directly. On the contrary, most arts teachers can accept it but they are fear to express their opinions publicly.Some residents around the No.5middle school, including students’parents and graduates, are interviewed. Their opinions are presented in Chapter4. Both residents and parents oppose high school students’hair coloring, but they do not believe that hair coloring is a tag of bad morality. They worry that high school students waste too much time on hair coloring and thus affect their academic grades. Graduates think hair coloring is acceptable; however, too special color should be avoided.Hair coloring is only a fashion, which does not harm either school or society. It should be observed and studied from the perspective of the fashion culture deeply. At present, most of teachers in No.5middle school cannot understand the concept of fashion culture and culture communication model. The school administrators should introduce fashion culture to teachers, and actively to create and lead good campus fashion culture.Chapter6lists two contributions of this paper. First, this paper did a good case study and obtained plenty of statistical data. Second, hair coloring should be regarded as an acceptable fashion, and teachers in high school should not oppose it too strictly. Teachers should create healthy campus fashion to persuade student not to color hair or do it less. |
