China is a multi-ethnic country of 56 ethnic groups, ethnic education in China is extremely important. Was born in the Chinese national education in the 1980s, began a shoulder to provide advice to the national education reform and development, the historical mission of the decision-making services. After nearly 30 years of development, the status of our national educational research how the level of what are the problems and what kind of adjustments to be made, it is worthy of serious consideration of a nation’s education researchers.In this study, the use of bibliometric methods, research on the 1387 papers published from 2000 to 2011 "national education", research methods, citation literature, researchers have the statistical analysis more objective, comprehensive understanding of nearly 12 years, "National Education" published paper, this perspective the status and characteristics of the entire national education research in the field, and on this basis to expand the reflection of our national educational research.From the analysis of statistical data, the areas of our national educational research in the ever-expanding, but the various fields of research and development is not balanced. Research emphasis on the national education curriculum and discipline construction horizontal, vertical on the emphasis on the national higher education; research methods are more and more scientific and diversified, but still emphasis on theoretical speculation; Citation increasing number gradually standardized, the specific operation of the study Citation languages, but still more single international literature information exchange; the gradual strengthening of the degree of research collaboration, but the lack of participation from the national education front-line educators; the increasing number of cross-cultural research, the research field of vision gradually open, but still very much a cultural a simple comparison between the level needs to be improved. Based on the current situation of our national educational research, the author believes that our national educational research in the future development should pay attention to the following aspects: strengthening the weak areas of research of the national education; established practice values and methodology; to strengthen international national educational research, information exchange and cooperation; to strengthen cross-cultural study of the national education; further strengthen the awareness of the problem of national education research-oriented theory of conscious.
