With the high development of material civilization, people’s living standard is rising increasinglynow. As a result, obesity has become one of the diseases of modem civilization. Overweight and obesity arethe risk factors to cause cardiovascular system diseases and many chronic diseases, and they are great threatto people’s health. Many older women are obese. And overweight and obese older women have become theincidence crowd to have diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood fat and cardioascular disease. How toprevent all kinds of cardiovascular disease and to delay function declining has become the health researchfocus to the obese and overweight middle-aged women. Sports dance is a new sport, which combines withthe physical art.It combines entertainment, sports, arts into an organic whole. And it is an elengent activityin the society. With the rising of the natinal fitness craze, sports dance has attracted a large amount ofpeople because of its high entertainment and physical training. Without the limitation of size of thecompetition site and the the number of people entering on the site, sports dance can meet different kins ofrequirement because of its different syles. This paper researches the phenomennon of middle aged andolder women’s obesity and the result after body building. It aims to provide a theoretical basis for thestatement that sports dance can improve the health situation for middle aged and older women and theobase people. This topic took60older overweight Kaifeng women as the subject of the experiment. Andthey were divided into the experimental group and the control group randomly. During the trial, the30people in the experimental group exercised three times a week, and every time exercised60min. Theexperiment lasted for16weeks, the control group had no exercising. By using the method of literature,logic analysis and experiment method, mathematical statistics and analysis, the experiment data wereanalyzed before and after the experiment.The results showed that:(1) After16weeks’ regular sports dance,older overweight women lost their weight significantly, the BMI lower, subcutaneous fat reduced, theadipose accumulation phenomenon in waist and abomen improved, and the building body effect is obvious.(2) After the experiment, the quiet heart rate is reduced, the high blood pressure lower, steps index rising,the volunteers’ cardiovascular system effectively gotten exercised; A substantial increase in the vitalcapacity, energy-providing capacity increasing. Sports dance can effectively improve the older obesewomen and overweight people’s cardiovascular system and respiratory function, strengthen the oxygen-providing capacity.(3) After test, their flexible quality and sensitive quality got improvement to alarger extent, and the power quality changed in a small scale.(4) After16weeks’ regular sports danceexercise,high blood and blood sugar became lower to some degree, blood fat dropped substantially. Therewas great difference before and after the test. High density lipoprotein cholesterol concentration increased.It indicated that physical dance exercise can prevent the happening of the disease of heart headblood-vessel for the obese and overweight elderly women.(5) After the16weeks’ sports dance training,the self-assessment lists of symptom-SCL90testing showed that the subjects of body, forced symptoms,sensitive interpersonal relation, depression, anxiety, confrontational, terror, paranoid, these eight factorssignificantly got improved. All this showed that sports dance have some positive effect on the negativemood and the depressed situation.Conclusion: If older overweight women and obese people go to have sports dance regularly for along term, it can effectively reduce and control weight, effectively improve the body’s cardiovascular andheart function, improve blood sugar dyslipidemia, and enhance physical strength. And it can edify the olderwomen’s sentiment, improve their mood, and promote the healthy development. Therefore, sports dance isa suitable daily exercise sport for obese and overweight middle-aged and older female.
