Along with gradually implementing the new curriculum reform, the biology part of the college entrance exam has started to put more and more emphasis on testing students’ inquiry ability of science. As an evaluation method, the college entrance exam provides a good guidance to high school practice teaching. It is necessary to summarize the characteristics of the experimental questions from past year exams, and propose new and important teaching instructions to inquiry teaching aiming on the high school biology experiments.This thesis is a comprehensive study that applied basic studies and applied studies. The main study methods include literature statistics analysis, comparative analysis, questionnaire studies, test surveies and mathematical statistics analysis. The author refered to a large number of literatures, emploied ideas from the experts’ and scholars’ studies of biology experiments teaching and the college entrance exam questions, dividing past tests since1981of biology experiment questions into four stages,and summarized the characteristics of three stages. Up to now, testing students’ inquiring ability has become the key point of experimental questions. The author made comparison of the college entrance exam biology experiment questions across years and different test zones, to offer theories on how to foster students’ ability to answer biology experiment test questions through summarizing the characteristics of the past biology experiment tests.The current research situation of biology experiment teaching:the author found out current teachers’ view on the college entrance biology exam experiment tests and the way to teach experiments in practice teaching at ordinary times using questionnaire survey. And the author found out unfavorable factor during current inquiry teaching strategy on students’ development of their abilities, this provide facts to explore students’ability training. Undertaking the student test survey is able to find out their performance of experiment inquiring ability. The questionnaire survey on teachers indicates the difficulties to implement inquiry based experiment are due to limited experiment equipment conditions; insufficient teachers’ explore literacy. Students test survey showed that, students are unable to grasp the basic principle of the experiment thoroughly, generally lacking of motivation to inquire, and keep a stereotypic thinking mode, however, students’capability in data analyzing and assessment is good.Following the leading step of college entrance biology exam for experiment part, and aiming at current situation of high school experiment teaching capacity, the author put forward three feasible strategies to enhance students’ experiment inquiry ability, which are teachers, students and the education to be the test by practice.
