The ultimate goal of education and examination is to promote the development of human. However, exam is just a kind of method to test people and we can cultivate people by education. In order to deepen the educational reform and to promote the development of Essential-Quality-Oriented (EQO) Education, a new round of curriculum reform were conducted in 1999. The reform reflected the needs of the society which made a lot changes in the course structure, teaching process, teaching materials and curriculum evaluation. As the college entrance examination has a great impact on the teaching in middle school, the reform of college entrance examination system should connect closely with curriculum reform. Doing research on college entrance exam proposition contributes to selecting talent students for the universities and also to the implementation of EQO education in secondary schools.The study is based on the classification theory of educational goals, multi-intelligence theory, effective teaching theory, constructivism theory and the theory of quality education, analyzing the college entrance examination of biology from 2005-2008 to get a general idea of the characteristics and the trends of the proposition. Then doing research with senior high school teachers and students to know how the exam affects the teaching and learning activities of teachers and students. As a result, there are also have some problems in teaching such as a lack of teaching design, the main principle is not enough, and the teachers should know more about their students and so on. In order to solve these problems, they are proposed to strengthen the study of the college entrance examination, seize the new trend of curriculum reform and to take a scientific and efficient way to review, etc.The innovation of this paper is that the author analyzes the college entrance examination paper in a system, trying to do the post-exam research to make the exam more beneficial to teaching and learning, and also provides some meaningful suggestions to improve the efficiency of high school biology teaching.
