The Research On The Education About College Students’ Marxist View On Ethnic Groups In The Colleges And Universities In Inner Mongolia

In recent years, some areas of the world are in a state of unrest, and theconflicts and local wars caused by ethnic issues are emerging one afteranother. The riots that successively happened in Tibet and Xinjiang in2008and2009respectively have had a great impact on the prosperous and stablesituations of the ethnic regions. The events of May11stand May15thoccurredin Xilin Gol League in Inner Mongolia in2011became even morecomplicated as a result of the involvement of the students who wereensorcelled by lawless persons. Our country is a multi-ethnic country, andthus ethnic issues have always been the serious matters concerning nationalstability, economic development and social prosperity. Therefore，it hasbecome a significant task confronted by the Party and the governmentcurrently that how to strengthen the education about college students’ Marxistview on ethnic groups，how to improve college students’ ability to distinguishright from wrong and how to raise their self confidence and the sense ofnational pride.College students, as a special group of the society, are the builders of andsuccessors to the cause of socialism, and the important force in maintainingsocial stability and ethnic solidarity. Thus, we should pay great attention tothe education about college students’ Marxist view on ethnic groups and treatit as one of the important missions of the Party, the government and all thecolleges and universities. With joint efforts of the whole society, we haveattained some achievements in the education about college students’ Marxistview on ethnic groups, however, there still exist some problems, such as someinstitutions of higher education have not put it into effect, the ways andapproaches of the education about college students’ Marxist view on ethnicgroups are monotonous, teaching facilities and teaching funds put into the education about college students’ Marxist view on ethnic groups are in shortsupply, the whole society has not formed resultant force to the educationabout college students’ Marxist view on ethnic groups and so on. This thesiswill survey and analyse the current situations of the education about collegestudents’ Marxist view on ethnic groups in the colleges and universities inInner Mongolia through the method of questionnaire, and advance pointedproposals and countermeasures for the purpose of strengthening the educationabout college students’ Marxist view on ethnic groups, such as strengtheningthe patriotic education through bringing up and training the specialized andhighly qualified teaching staff who educate about the Marxist view on ethnicgroups; further conducting the education about the equality and unity amongethnic groups and co-prosperity of all ethnic groups; increasing the input offunds; expanding new ways to the education about college students’ Marxistview on ethnic groups and so on.
