A Tentative Study On Obama Adminstration’s Export Of The American Values

American value is one of the bases in the process of making foreign policy of theUnited States, also one of the goals of the U.S. foreign policy. The U.S government hasalways attached the great role of value output in the foreign relations. The value outputis almost eternal theme of U.S. foreign policy. The U.S government often spared noeffort in starting a variety of different ways to export value of the United States in theworld. The success of the value output not only for the United States to cultivate themasses who accept more easily and consume American products and services in othercountries, but also can expand the appeal of American democracy and values, deepeningthe American legitimacy of“hegemony”in the various regions of the world. The valuesexport has created a favorable international environment for the realization of the U.S.national strategy and national interests, and increased American influence and appeal.Obama administration attaches the great importance role of the value output, the overallgoal of the Obama administration’s diplomatic strategy is to ensure that U.S nationalsecurity and expand of American interests and values export all over the world.Obama’s speech in the national archives museum in 2009, emphasized the values of theUnited States is the most precious possession of the United States national security. Ithas major historical and realistic significance to study Obama administration’sAmerican values output. In this paper, I will discuss systematically about the contentand the traditional habit of American values output, and the practices, characteristics,reasons, impacts and prospects of Obama administration’s American values output.
