The thesis is a research about the role of packaging in brandpromotion. Firstly, beginning in the brand, discusses the changing ofsocial, economic, technological, and the different of sales mode andcommercial operation model, following from that, the way of brandpromotion is also changed, and packing is pushed to an importantposition. Packaging is for products, services for the brand, and it wouldmake a adjustment by the need of product series and the brand, that is tosay, it would be "classified" with the classification of brand. Secondly,with the industrial revolution as the boundary line, the both sidespackaging history have very different development. But modernpackaging is always based on the basis of early packing to develop.Because of the brand, there are new requirements for packaging, and alsopackaging have many new features and function, and the generation need“to be” design by designers. It is very complicated the process ofdesigners design packaging. Thirdly, packing service brand, and thesocial development and improvement need brand. Therefore, packagingis also socialized by society, whether forming or not, whether to sell ornot, it’s never stop communicate with society. In recent years, many foodmalignant events happened; ethics and social care were concerned bypeople again.“Packaging” got in society, also to meet the need of thesociety. As a “socialized”, packing must undertake the responsibilityendowed by era.
