Try To Talk About The Film Art Of Satire

The purpose of this paper is to consider how “satire” is represented in the art form offilm. In this paper, I would like to go beyond the humorist expressions of political orsocial criticism to discuss how satire has been used in the medium of film as anexpression of resistance.The medium of motion pictures is a relatively new art form that has developedgreatly in the20thcentury. In other art forms, such as literature, sculpture and painting,the expression of resistance has already been developing throughout the centuries.Resistance against society, family, God or nation has been illustrated by these artforms for hundreds of years.In the art form of film one is faced with various constraints while attempting topresent the expression of the artist. These constraints include a limited time frame andtechnical restrictions in visualization. Depending on how narrative and expressionhave evolved through trial and error, film makers are constantly exploring new waysto express their visions.The subject of satire has fascinated people throughout the centuries. In this paper Iwill attempt to analyze how satire has been expressed through the art form of filmthrough the work of the individual film director.
