Yasujiro Ozu is known as the most Japanese Style director.The films he directed,especially those in the late time which theme was on marry on daughter.Deeply influenced by the traditional Japanese culture,he integrated his philosophy into the film,especially the late works reflected the deeper backgrounds.Throughout his career of films production,the transition of his style initiated with imitating Charlie Chaplin and Ernst Lubitsch comedies in the golden age in Hollywood.Progressly,he created his own genre of filming which is known as Ozu Style.It features tatami shots,fixing shots and cross the axis.The film Late Spring in 1949 was selected as top of the year's best 10 films by Kinema Junpo.Since here,his personal style was also mature,and much reputation in the film world,became the most representative of Japanese director.Most studies were focused on the consciousness of "Mono no aware" and "Mysterious",while this paper will take the Japanese Zen as a new perspective,made Ozu's latest films,which from 1949 to 1962 as the case,combine the main idea of the Japanese Zen and traditional Japanese culture to expound and elaborate his films from both in the script and the emotion connotation.
