Evenif there is a sporadic description also focus on some Chinese localChronicles.On contrary,the research for Suzhou city and thesurrounding Wu Jiang,Song Ling and ShengZe is many,not only the richmaterial and wide research area,but also research for Suzhou suburbandialect cannot match with the number of research and study depth.But research for Suzhou suburbs dialect has its necessity and value.Aswe know, suburban dialect often slow to change, from suburbandialect we often can see some original face of theurban dialects. If wecan find the trajectory of change and describe it,it will be atreasure.The position of Xukou town is very special,it caused that Xukoutown keeps the older voice phenomenon of Suzhou urban dialect andsome common voice feature of peripheral dialect.This article focusedon the phonetic phenomena of Suzhou suburbs Xukou towndialect,also used the traditional phonology description and modernvoice analysis on it. For special phonetic phenomena the author usedthe acoustic methods to describe and explain.The article had somefeatures as follow:First,this article made a investigation and analysis ofthe traditional phonology on Xukou town dialect, it can provideinformation and clues for future Suzhou suburbs dialectresearch.Second, this article used modern phonetics method toanalyze the special tone phenomenon of Xukou town dialect.,theauthor used a frequency curve to draw Xukou town dialect’s tone typefigure.Third, this article recognize Xukou town dialect’s the fourth toneand entering tone phenomenon through the language figure,itconfirmed that the fourth tone and entering tone have different tone type and tone contours with the clear words. Xukou town dialect stillkeeps sharp opposition group consonants.The initials of Zhi group andZhang group have the feeling of something like warped tongue, thefinals at back have the feeling of something like firstly composition.Theword of Jiashe main initials take the position No.6vowel. Xukou towndialect has eight tones,six level tones and entering tones. There arethree circuitous tones, one level and two falling tones in the leveltones.Entering tone combines a falling tone and a rising tone.
