Sun Fen Research

Sun Fen (1338-1393) was an important poet in Ling Nan poets inMing Dynasty, also was the representative poet of Ling Nan poetry. Onthe basis of the previous study, the author studies Sun Fen thoroughly,including his life, poetry creation, the version of xi′an poetry anthology,the chronicle of his life and his impact in Ling Nan poets.Besides the introduction, this paper can be divided into threechapters.The first chapter〝Sun Fen′s life and works〞can be divided intothree sections. The author introduces his life and friends，discusses hisyears of birth and death and whether pass the examination in the firstsection, lists the writings of his in the second section and discusses therheology of xi′an poetry anthology in the third section.The second chapter〝Sun Fen′s poetry and art characteristic〞can be divided into two sections. According to subject matter, theauthor introduces Sun Fen′poetry creation in the first section andsummarizes artistic feature of his poetry in the second section.The third chapter〝Sun Fen and Ling Nan poetry〞can be dividedinto three sections. The author discusses South Garden Poetry Societyand friendship between Sun Fen and Wang Zuo, Huang Zhe, Li De, ZhaoJie in the first section, concludes the characteristic and influence ofpoetry creation in South Garden Poetry Society in the secondsection,and expounds the effect of South Garden Poetry Society toLing Nan poetry′form.Basing on studying xi′an poetry anthology and relevant literature,the author compiles a chronicle of Sun Fen′life, the evolution of xi′anpoetry anthology, and finds his lost Poems and article attached aftertext for reference.
