Xiao Hong, a great famous woman writer, who was born in around the time of theMay4th Movement, and died in the chaos caused by war. Although she only lived forthirty-one years, but her influence in the modern literature is deeply. In1942, XiaoHong passed away. After that people show their attitude about her, such as makingcarping comments or showing sod exclamation. Then a great number of people wrotebiographies for her. There are all kinds of biographies, from the initial segmentedmemory to a subsequent biography, from resource model to scholarly biography.However, many biographical versions that are full of contradictory historical data. Thatlet us difficult to differentiate the truth. But biographers often flaunt the truth of theirhistorical biography. In fact, such phenomenon was due to a variety of reasons, both theinitial recall of contradictory and later biographers self-sensation. According to thetheory of modern biography, the nature of author biography can’t doubt its character ofhistoriography. But new historicism theory has proved that truth in the history of thetext was not present, signifier and signified are fractured. Thus, excessive pursuit ofbiography truth, specifically, the pursuit of Xiao Hong’s biographical truthfulness is afalse proposition. But to give up the real inevitably to Postmodern self exile. Thispaper takes Xiao Hong biography as a template, the writer tries to find the futuredirection of biography writing, only admit the truth is not objective, and it based onhistorical infinitely close to the subjective reality. This paper is not only to solve thiscontradiction, but also to provide the future of Xiao Hong biographers a useful road.
