| The modern idea beginning in the Renaissance and theEnlightenment era promotes human society to make unprecedentedprogress. However, omnipotent humans who have superstition intechnological rationality fall into an unprecedented moral crisis. Formodern China involved in the modern wave inevitably, having little greatchanges in the third millennium in the moral field is rendered as thebreaking of the traditional ethical and moral resources, to some extent,this process continues until the present. To face the dual pressures of themodern moral crisis and lack of ethical culture, moral education bearsimportant task of acculturating moral nature of mind, of spreading themoral culture. However, our country’s moral education at present hasmany problems. Both external moralizing and the inculcation of moralknowledge fail to touch on the moral soul of the humans. Heteronomousmoral constraints can not be converted into the inner moral self-discipline.Meanwhile, moral education is also alienated as memorizing and passivecompliance with the rules. The tasteless position of moral education inthe whole education is the harsh reality which can not be avoided.Mentality ontology moral philosophy of the modern Neo-Confucian TangJunyi is the creative interpretation and reconstruction of traditional moralresources of Confucian. The containing moral education philosophy, concerning about the moral mind, standing upright moral self have animportant reference to contemporary moral education which isknowledge-based and external.The paper consists of seven parts. In the introduction part, the reasonand the significance of topics are stated, and summary of the status andtrends of Tang Junyi’s thought at home and abroad to clarify the researchmethod of the thesis. In the first chapter, the moral“ontologyâ€ideologyis stated. The statement makes the excavation of deep moral values in lifeactivities as a starting point. Then it shows the division of its moral selfand the reality of self, and discusses the ultimate root-causes of the moralself: the“mind ontologyâ€in detail. In the second chapter, the basis of thehuman nature theory of Tang Junyi’s moral education thought is discussed.This section illustrates the thought of“the theory of good natureâ€and thedemonstration thought. Besides, the discriminative demonstrationthe ofthe source of the“evilâ€is stated. In the third chapter, the essential theoryof Tang Junyi’s moral education. In this section, the statement of moraleducation’s nature is based on the foundation of moral education, thenature of the moral psychology and behavior and the purpose of moraleducation.
