Research On Tang Junyi's Self-moral Values

Tang Junyi is one of the important representatives of Neo-Confucianism in Hong Kong and Taiwan.In recent years,Tang's unique moral philosophy system has been increasingly studied in academic circles.Self-moral is a vital core concept in his moral philosophy system.He claimed that self-moral was the essence of the mind,by virtue of its own transcendental power,which could lead mind reaching to ideal nine realms.By this way,metaphysical world and real world,mind and social life,self-moral and moral practice established interconnected system.There are quite important dual value in Tang Junyi's Self-moral Values.In details,one is that Self-moral Values emphasizes the practical nature of morality,pointing out the realization of moral personality coming from real life,which constitutes ethics.More important,it shows that human can through moral practice into a supreme goodness mode.And,in the process of constructing the Self-moral Values,Tang Junyi's made a strong push to the modernization of traditional Chinese philosophy.In the thesis,the analysis and research of Tang Junyi ethics,thethesis is including three parts:The first section,from chapter 1 to 3,explains the logic construction of Tang Junyi's philosophy system.Chapter 1 introduces the forming background of Tang Junyi's Self-moral Values and analyses why Tang Junyi's created this system and his aim.Chapter 2 through the analysis of the concept of Self-moral,discussing its origin,and demonstrates the existence of mind,revealing its essence and expression in universe.Chapter 3describes the process how Self-moral transforms into humanistic world.The second section,chapter 4,describes the inheritance and development of Chinese philosophy by Tang Junyi,and his attempt to absorption of western philosophy,especially German classical philosophy,represented by kant,Fechit and Hegel.Last section,chapter 5,brings forth comment on the metaphysics of Tang Junyi's holistically and discusses its gain and loss.
