Herpes zoster(HZ), which is caused by the varicella-zoster virus infection of acute herpetic skin disease, characterized by unilateral present zonal distribution of skin erythema, visible clustered close on its high sores, blisters, etc., associated with burning, pain, often in the low immunity. After her lesions subsided, some patients will be left after different degrees of heritage neuralgia, particularly older patients. Belongs to the category of "snake strand sore" of traditional Chinese medicine.Western medicine with antiviral, analgesia, nerve nutrition, secondary infection prevention could shorten the duration for the principle. The Western method used a variety of methods such as medication, physical therapy or nerve block treatment of the disease, but the effect remains to be further improved and side effects cannot be avoided for prevention of heritage neuralgia after herpes zoster completely. Therapy of TCM is more effective, with the joint of many inside and outside therapys, using different means such as acupuncture, stab winding bleed,etc.,these treatments are safe and stable, shortening the course of the disease and reducing the occurrence of sequelae obviously.This thesis consists of a literature review and a clinical research.Literature review is divided in two parts:The first part mainly introduces the knowledge of snake strand sore and treatment in TCM advantages, which includes the summary and the treatment methods from ancient physicians and modern physicians on the further understanding of the disease and their respective features and focus on treatment,affirmed the external treatment of TCM and acupuncture, bloodletting, can pull on the curative effect of snake strand sore and its sequelae and emphasized the importance of daily and aftercare after the illness.The second article introduces herpes zoster’s incidence, prevalence, symptoms and the modern medicine for the treatment of the disease, puts forward the deficiencies in clinical application.Clinical research collected135cases of patients with herpes zoster in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Dongzhimen Hospital dermatological department between January2007and August2012.Through analyzing their medical records and identifying the disease characteristics, we founded that the more men than women slightly in135patients; Aged50or more obvious than those under the age of50, of which51-80-year-old age disease, most (42.96%), especially in the71-80, accounting for19.26%; Spring, summer, autumn, admitted patients with herpes zoster significantly greater than in winter, and in May and July at most;The diseased parts included the head and face, neck, chest and back, followed by Yao Lei Ministry.98.52%of the patients were with pain;More than half would appear prodromal pain. With hypertension accounted for45.93%,prompted the doctor should be based on disease prevention in advance according to the patients.The disease, although the symptoms were obvious,it is rarely seen serious irreversible complications.According to the tongue, moss, pulse condition in order to fire, hot, wet as the majority, our department most commonly used clinical Longdanxiegan prescription and Buyanghuanwu prescription to treat herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia.Through positive and effective treatments,80%of patients within3days after admission had no new blisters and lesions and in9days they would be all scabby. A total of54.81%of patients admitted to hospital within3days after pain was improved,62.96%of patients in pain significantly reduced within10days after admission. The average hospitalization days is about12days.Patients discharged significantly alleviate the pain, the cure rate was75.96%,24.04%improvement rate.But heritage neuralgia after HZ still cannot be avoided completely, accounting for20.19%. Summarized our department in the past,treatment and diagnosis and treatment of TCM commonly used features, found, analyzed and concluded some related factors affecting herpes zoster.This research will help the writer to seek a better solution to treat the disease and further explore the prevention of possible new ideas for the heritage neuralgia after herpes zoster.
