Background:Herpes Zoster(HZ)is a very common disease in dermatology, which is caused by the Varicella zoster virus(VZV)reactivation. The morbidity increased year by year.In addition to the dermatology department, many other related departments were revolved. At present, the United States,Britain,France,Canada and some other developed countries have already carried out a series of sentinel surveillances of herpes zoster in order to evaluate the people suffering from herpes zoster accurately.By this way, they can take precautionary and treatment measures. In our country, most of the researches are about the clinical observation, curative effect analysis and clinical nursing. The research of risk factors of infection, treatment and complications are still lacking. Objective:To analyze the general information and clinical characteristics of the 519 hospitalized HZ patients and evaluate the high risk of HZ,curative effect,in order to provide informations for the prevention, treatment and prognosis. Methods:Select the information of 519 patients which were diagnosed as HZ or PHN in January 2015 to August 2016 by the electronic medical records browsing system.Summarize the relation of age, gender, invasion site with HZ;Analyze the correlations of age, gender, invasion site, predisposing factor, days before patient presentation, medical histroy, treatment with treatment time and complications.Results:1.The patients over 60 years old occupies most part of the research. There was statistically difference of gender in the patients younger than 45 years old(P<0.05).The male had a higher risk to get HZ than female who younger than 45(P<0.05).2.The medical history with HZ:Incidence of herpes zoster with previous dis eases were:surgery, diabetes, connective tissue disorders(Lupus erythematosus,d ermatomyositis, sicca syndrome),application of immunosuppressive drugs and so on.3.Special clinical classification:In the reaearch there was higher risk of disseminated herpes zoster when the femoral nerve area was involved(P<0.05);The person younger than 45-years old was easier to get Ramsay-Hunt syndrome than the others(P<0.05).4.Treatment time:Treatment time of trigeminal area and lumbosacral nerve area were longer than intercostals nerve area(P<0.05).There was no significant relations between the age, gender, predisposing factor, pain, previous illnesses, days before patient presentation, sreriod application and treatment time,complications(P>0.05).5.Misdiagnosis condition:Intercostals nerve area involvement was the most popular area to be misdiagnosed than the others, usually it was misdiagnosed as coronary disease, peptic ulcer and cholecystitis. The second area was trigeminal area which was misdiagnosed as cerebral infarction, and the femoral nerve involvement was diagnosed as erysipelas and arthritis.6.Complications:The people over 60-years old had higher risk to get PHN(P<0.05),and HZ at intercostals nerve area was easier to occur PHN than the other nerve areas(P<0.05)in the research. The gender, the left or right, the relationship between the lesion and pain, had no significant relations with the.complicationsConclusions:1.The patients over 60 years old occupies most part of the research. The male had a higher risk to get HZ than female who younger than 45(P<0.05)).2.The risk factors of HZ were surgery, diabetes, tumor, desmosis(Lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, sicca syndrome),application of immunosuppressive drugs;3.There was higher risk of disseminated herpes zoster when the femoral nerve area was involved in the research(P<0.05).The person younger than 45-years old was easier to get Ramsay-Hunt syndrome than the others(P<0.05);4.The treatment time of trigeminal area was longer than the other nerve area(P<0.05).5.The patient over 60-years old had higher risk to get PHN(P<0.05),HZ at intercostals nerve area was easier to occur PHN than the other nerve areas in the reaearch(P<0.05).
