Objective:To study the relationship of the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the fibroblast growth factor receptor2gene (FGFR2) and the development of breast neoplasm. Methods:We selected280cases of breast neoplasm and280samples of normal controls randomly, tested the polymorphisms of rs2912778、rs2981578、rs2981582in FGFR2gene by allele specific amplification (ASA) and agarose gel electrophoresis, and finally analysed whether they were related with breast neoplasm. Results:There were differences in the genotypes between the breast neoplasm group and the control group (P<0.05). With respect to the tumor size, no difference was found in rs2981578and rs2981582,while significant difference was found in rs2912778(P<0.01) in ymph node metastasis, there was a non-significant difference in other clinical pathological factors. Conclusions:The SNP of rs2912778,rs2981578,and rs2981582in the FGFR2is probably associated with the incidence of breast neoplasm.
