Objective:Based on cross-sectional investigation of female university students, this thesis analyzes the status quo of Premenstrual syndrome, the distribution of Chinese medicine constitution type and the influence factors for the premenstrual syndrome, such as Chinese medicine constitution, quality of life, etc.. Screening out qi depression type from prophase investigation, by randomized controlled study, applying pure health education group and blank group as control groud, to observe the effect of auricular acupuncture with health education in alleviating the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, improving quality of life and improvement of qi stagnation constitution.Methods:1. Using the method of groud sampling, the1000female university students are randomly extracted to carry on the cross-sectional investigation, which is done by PMS Diagnostic Scale, CCMQ, WHOQOL-BREF and self-designing questionnain. The standard examined961by dividingin to premenstrual syndrome group (Patient group) and non-premenstrual syndrome group (control group), carried on descriptive analysis of the occurrence of PMS, distribution of premenstrual symptoms and Chinese medicine constitution type; analyzed the differences of professional, academic pressure and Chinese medicine constitution type between tow groups by Chi square test; analyzed the differences of every domain and some entries of WHOQOL-BREF by t test; explored the relationship of the relevant factors, Chinese medicine constitution type and PMS by Logistic regression analysis.2. Research objects were114qualified patients with premenstrual syndrome and qi depression type from prophase investigation. Randomly dividing the objects into three groups, auricular acupuncture with health education group (comprehensive group), health education group (education group) and blank group, each had38cases. One menstrual cycle a course, three menstrual cycle in total. Evaluating daily records of the seriousness of the problem (DRSP), CCMQ and WHOQOL-BREF before and after every menstrual cycle. All data were entered into the computer and established database. Using statistical software SPSS17.0to complete statistical analysis. Data fit the normal distribution and homogeneity of variance, data among groups were analyzed by ANOVA, pairwise comparison with SNK-q test, before and after itself with paired samples t-test; If not follow the normal distribution or heterogeneity of variance, data among groups were analyzed by Wilcoxon rank sum test, pairwise comparison with SNK-q test.Results:1. The prevalence of PMS is45.5%, among which32.9%was mild,11.7%moderate and0.8%severe. The incidence rate of breast tenderness, abdominal distension, diarrhea, lethargy in somatic symptoms is high; the incidence rate of impaired concentration, anxiety, depression, irritability in psychotic symptoms is high; The incidence rate of psychotic symptoms is higher than somatic symptoms. Biased constitution among female university students was in the majority, yang deficiency constitution was41.2%, normale constitution was31.5%, Chinese medicine constitution in the patient group was different from that in control group (P<0.05), patient group were multiple constitution, more complex than control group. Correlation analysis between Chinese Medicine constitution type and PMS indicates: qi depression constitution, blood stasis constitution and phlegm-dampness constitution were easier to suffer from PMS, qi depression constitution is correlative tightly most to PMS. The score of quality of life of patient group was significant lower than that of control group on physical, psychological, social, environment domains (P<0.00). Quality of life of patient group was signifieantly higher than control group. Logistic regression analysis shows that not medical profession, study pressure, poor sleep quality, negative emotions and no support family and friends when in frustration were correlative to PMS.2. The difference of premenarche to follicular phase and total score of follicular phase of DRSP all decreased significantly after treatment in the comprehensive group and the education group (P<0.05). The score of comprehensive group lower than education group, but the difference was no significant (P>0.05), Qi depression constitution of comprehensive group significantly improved (P<0.00), the score of qi depression constitution in education group decline but still belongs to qi depression constitution, score of qi depression constitution in bank group did not chang. The quality of life in the comprehensive group improved especially in physiological, psychological, social and gemeingefuhl, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Psychological and social fields of the quality of life of the health education group improved (P<0.05), the blank group did not change.Conclusions:1. The incidence rate of PMS in the female university students is high, however the mild and moderate are mainly. There are mang and complex symptoms, and the proportion of mental symptom is higher than that of somatization. Biased constitution among female university students was in the majority, qi depression constitution is correlative tightly most to PMS. The factors of PMS are complex, not medical profession, study pressure, poor sleep quality, negative emotions and no support family and friends when in frustration were correlative to PMS.2. Auricular acupuncture with health education that based on the bio-psycho-social medical model is the effective intervention for PMS. It can significantly alleviate the body and mental symptoms, improve qi depression constitution and quality of life; The Chinese version of DRSP can be used for clinical diagnosis and curative effect evaluation.
