Cancer-related fatigue results from malignant tumor, diagnosis and treatment of the cancer, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and so on. It is patients’subjective feeling. The objective conduction is the drop of physical strength, energy and memory. It is different from usual fatigue. Cancer-related fatigue occurs quickly, lasting for a long time and is serious. It can not be eased by rest. It related to the change of physiology, knowledge and mood, seriously influencing patients’quality of life. Synthesized nurse and medication are the main measures for this fatigue. Effective measures and medicine are needed to be deeply researched. Therefore, people are exploring effective methods and drugs which can solve this problem radically.Object:In this subject we used Fufang Ejiao Jiang to treat patients with cancer-related fatigue, and put particular emphasis on the effect of the improving patients’symptoms and quality of life. The subject can provide clinical evidence of advantage of improving patients’quality of life by integrating traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for cancer-related fatigue. Methods:By perspective, clinical research randomized method, we used brief fatigue inventory, KPS Scores, symptom of Chinese medicine Scores, and blood routine as outcome measures. The research data were based on73patients with cancer-related fatigue in the oncology of Dong zhimen Hospital and Dong fang Hospital affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. The patients were randomly divided into normal trial group (37peoples) and control group (36peoples). The patients in each group were treated for28days as a cycle. The outcome indexes were measured in the1st,14th and28th days. SPSS13.0was used for data analysis. Pair template t test was used between the compare of the two groups, while single t test was used to measure the level of trial group. P<0.05means that there are significances in statistics. The changes after treatment was tested by t test. The effectiveness was analyzed by χ2analysis.Results:〣efore therapy, the differentiations of cancer-related fatigue scores of the two groups were not evident in statistics (P>0.05). After therapy, the result of the trial group was much better than that of the control group and this is considered statistical significant (P<0.05).②The scores of symptoms of Chinese medicine fall gradually in trial group. Ten of them showed significant improvement (19.16%),36of them had response (70.59%). The total response rate was90.20%. At the same time, in the control group none of them improved significantly,12of them had response, the response rate is24.49%. The response rate of symptoms of Chinese medicine in the trial group evidently excelled the control group (P<0.05).③The score of KPS after therapy, in the trail group there were16cases attained advancement (31.37%),35cases kept steady (68.63%), the response rate was100.00%. In the control group none attained advancement (0.00%),25cases kept steady (51.02%), and24cases decline (48.98%). The response rate is51.02%. It is validated that the trail group gained superior in KPS (P<0.001).The trial group compared with itself, before and after using Fufang Ejiao Jiang,(P<0.05). This is considered statistical significant.④Before therapy, the differentiations of blood cell level of2groups were not evident in statistics (P>0.05).After the therapy, the average RBC、HGB、MCH、MCHC、MCV、 HCT level of the trial group was apparently higher than of the control group (P<0.05). Between the two groups, all of the blood level of the trial group is much higher than that of the control group, which showed significant difference(P<0.05)in both groups. Conclusion:Fufang Ejiao Jiang can treat the cancer-related fatigue, anemia, clinical symptoms and improve the quality of life for the patients.
