Study objective: impoverished area rural left-behind old people, economy andliving a double burden may affect their use of health services. This study investigateleft-behind elderly poverty situation of health service utilization, as well as theinfluence of Left-behind elderly health service utilization of the relevant factors, inorder to improve the left-behind elderly health service utilization, ease the old elderpeople sees a doctor difficult problem, improve the left-behind elderly health servicepolicies to provide a scientific basis.Research methods: the Guizhou County willow town pear Hill Village, villageboard Village, three natural villages of 192 elder people on-site personal questionnaire.Local health workers as Miao translation. The investigation content includesleft-behind elderly general situation, left-behind elderly medical security situation,left-behind elderly two week prevalence and diagnosis. The results using SPSS11.0software for descriptive analysis and chi-square test.The survey results showed：Left-behind old people don’t speak Chinese,accounted for 76.6％; left-behind elderly occupation mainly farmed; left-behindelderly lower cultural level, never went to school for 62％; left-behind elderly poverty,poor staff accounted for 33％; left-behind elderly burden is heavy, need to care forgrandchildren accounted for 74％; elder live from the recent medical point distance 1km 52％, health and sexual difference; two week prevalence ratio of 58.3％to twoweeks of treatment, 67.9％, two week visit accounted for 47.3％, left-behind elderlyhealth demand, utilization of health services in poor; elder people choose hospital isthe main reason for distance near / convenient.Research conclusions：Left-behind elderly without visiting a high proportion of.Empty nest elderly poverty. The heavy burden of elder people. Behind the utilizationof health service for the elderly impact factors including：language, live to a recentvisits unit distance, whether to have health care knowledge, suffering from injuries orserious.
