With the development of automobile industry, energy issues and environmental pollution become more and more serious. The air-powered car studied in this paper is a new energy vehicle which uses compressed air as the power source and whose tail gas is of "zero pollution". Air-powered car research has important implications for development of our harmonious society. With the design idea of green ergonomics, it carries out a detailed analysis on the air-powered car. The main contents are as follows:The basic theories of ergonomics are applied on the design of display device of air-powered car. Combined with current situations of the car display device, it proposes a display device form to reduce misreading rate and recognition fatigue. It analyzes the blind spot of steering wheel and provides scientific basis for the rational layout of the display devices of air-powered car.From the aspects of control space, control force and control position, it makes an ergonomic analysis of control devices of air-powered car and draws reasonable design methods of steering wheels, pedals, etc.The static and dynamic analysis of the frame are carried out with ANSYS. According to the finite element model of car frame, it selects full load bending condition to carry out the finite element analysis, and checks the strength and stiffness of the frame. It uses the modal extraction method to carry out the theoretical modal analysis of the frame, gets natural frequencies and vibration diagrams of the frame, masters the dynamic performance of frame.With the requirements of ergonomics, it describes in detail the main geometrical parameters of seats, and makes an analysis of factors influencing the seat comfort. Based on multi-body dynamics, using the dynamics model of seats established by Simulink, it selects one comfort evaluation method to study the comfort of air-powered car seats when driving on Class B filtering white noise road, and to analyze the influence of seats’stiffness and damping coefficients on seat comfort. Finally, with the aid of ergonomic analysis software JACK, person’s posture and operation comfort is analyzed.This topic explores the application of ergonomics in air-powered car and provides technical support to the development research of air-powered cars.
