Beauty Transitional Surface In The Form Of Product Design Research

This topic mainly took the design project of the Hangzhou PublicBicycle System visual image as a representative case. The point of viewbased on design aesthetics，around the form-beauty in which the pavilion,the tent and the lock as well as the other establishments in the HangzhouPublic Bicycle Service System configuration, was launched research.Hangzhou Public Bicycle Service System visual image design projecthas been conferred the “top10livelihood projects in ZhejiangProvince”,“new age Hangzhou create ten innovation achievements”, and“Hangzhou classic case of industrial design awards” and so on. Inaddition to the usage of function, the materials, the structure, theshape and the other design elements are worth of our study and research.The subject research was mainly connected the two basic principles thatis design aesthetic and design morphology (Material science, structuralmechanics, and other disciplines may be mentioned, but little research).In the process of the Hangzhou Public Bicycle Service System practicedesign project and research the rule of the form-beauty, the author foundthat the “Transition face”(Blend Surface) and the form in productdesign have a subtle connection. Analyzed the reasons for why are the“Transition face” phenomenon forms and effects, also combed with theproblems encountered and results in the project design. In the end, thistopic research results was made summary and outlook, providing somereferences and inspiration for the nowadays’ design.This topic research provides a reference and a new ideas，not onlyfor us a method of the form-beauty in our product design, but also forthe other design.
