PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) transportation system is characteristic of energy-saving, land-saving, environmental friendly, fast, economical, non-stop, automated-driving, not limited by terrain. Hence the application of PRT transportation system in mountainous areas will improve its accessibility, and has significant superiority than traditional highway transportation pattern in these areas. The PRT transportation system has successfully solved the traffic constrains in development of mountainous areas.On the basis of improved mountainous areas accessibility of applying PRT transportation system, this study presents a mountainous land resources synthetic utilization proposal. The key idea is rationally disposing the gentle and steep land of mountainous areas, which means the former is utilized as eco-agriculture or forest land, while the later is for mountain construction land. The proposal will alleviate the contradiction between the lacking of construction land and the "red line" of arable land.This study details a newly designed systematic solution scheme for mountainous building construction, which was non-accessible with traditional method before. Based on the study, the migration concept of population to steep mountainous areas has proposed, and the possible changes of urban land and city layout was also discussed.After the introduction of PRT transportation system, the variation of mountain land available conditions is analyzed; the impact of changing in location basis, mode of construction, living essentials, residential pattern to buildings and environment are also investigated. Through the above mentioned study, a PRT transportation system based design concept for steep mountain land individual building and settlements is proposed. Considering available construction technologies and research findings, the design concept also incudes special designs for crucial technology issues such as site selection, land connection, rock structure, slope engineering, construction method, joint operation of transportation, disaster prevention; According to the characteristics of PRT transportation system, designs of joint operation method for PRT rail and individual building, a wiring system for building settlements are also carried out; More specifically, the current status of Beijing mountainous resources and new technology application are also surveyed, the feasibility of solving living issues for individual mountainous resident such as domestic water supply, recycled water, organic waste treatment, comprehensive utilization of renewable energy are also discussed. The study shows that, the application of PRT based steep land architecture in Beijing mountainous areas has a promising prospect. In the last, the study also details the proposal for Beijing steep mountain areas exploitation at the policy level. |
