In the recent years, with coal production increasing year by year, casualtyaccidents in Coal Mine increase, multiple upward trend of absolute number ofdeaths in China. Though the percentage of both coal mine accidents and deathsdecline, there are still large number of coal mine accidents and deaths in2010and2011. The failure of escaping from mine due to that coal miners can not findthe correct path when underground accidents occurs, and not consider crewunderground in choosing the path of escape. Therefore, it has great significancefor research in reality to improve the probability in successful escapingindividually.Based on Java technology Eclipse and RePast, model of miners’ escapingunderground is constructed by using multi-Agent Based Modeling andSimulation.In this model,based on the result of digitization and rasterization ofthe real underground tunnel map, environment for “Agent” activities isconstructed, and the types and characters are designed. Then based on theresearch of physical and psychological case that the underground personnel inthe face of unexpected incidents, the Agent’s decision is maken. In addition, thedata is recorded and added up that the simulated case can be analyzed. In orderto simulate the scene that the miners underground escape from disasters,different types of fire-taken place is set, then analyze the miner’s escaping whenthe fire broke out in the absence of roadway, in the miners work area or in theexit,study the stastical data.Based on the class libraries supported by RePast, a CoalMinedemo classpackage is created in this model.Learning from the concept of Mooreneighborhood in cellular automata, Agent’s vector of movement direction isgenerated in the miners underground escaping model, and a solution about theunderground miners escaping route is designed, though which, different escaperoutes are generated for defferent individuals,and be simulated throughexperiment. The results show that the algorithm can generate the correspondingescape routes for different Agent in underground accidents, and realize theunderground escape better,ultimately, reduce the mortality of coal miners effectively.Coal Mine Safety has been a research focus of domestic and foreignscholars. In this paper, based on multi-Agent modeling and simulation, themodels of the miners escaping from the mine accident is constructed,and thesimulation of the miners escaping is realized, then the escape route is given inany case. On this basis, the study of miners underground escaping in any otheraccidents can be done, in order to improve the success rate of undergroundescape.
