Land use change is a constant research topic, as long as mankind exists, there areeconomic and social progress and development, land use/cover change alwaysoccurs everywhere,and then it will bring huge environmental effect. Ecologicalsecurity of land use is the core of IGBP and IHDP,which can provide a lot of guidanceon the regional ecological construction and sustainable development.The study notonly meets features and advantages of geography in the study on economy, societyand environment, but also fully reflects the development trend which is the pattern ofmodern,process and mechanism.Dongying City is located in the Yellow River Delta Efficient Ecological EconomicZone, it is one of the areas that where have the unique geographical environment andrichest biodiversity, There is vast farming area in south of Dongying City, there is richmineral resources in north of Jining City,there is fishing zone in east of DongyingCity,so Dongying City is both resources Industrial city city,Eco-city and agriculturecity.and it is also an areas of the vulnerable ecological environment of the downstreamof Yellow River.A series of questions oncoming such as loss of high-quality farm land,changes of wetland landscape, degradation of the ecological environment,etc with thedevelopment of economic and social by its rich resources such as fisheries, oil and seasalt.This paper analyzed the characteristics of temporal-spatial Basic situation of landuse dynamic change and its effects on ecological environment in Dongying city on thebasic of land use map from the remote sensing images as TM in1992,2000, and2010by method of GIS.It is hoped that the study could provide scientific suggestions forsustainable resources exploitation, regional economic development and ecologicalconstruction.According to the principle of representation and synthesis, Pressure-state-response land ecological security evaluation index hierarchy model wasestablished,then related database and land ecological security evaluationinformation systems of Dongying City(pressure-the state-response to ecologicalsecurity evaluation)was established.The results showed that: 1. This paper summarizes the characteristics of the ecological environment of thestudy area on the basis of the on the basis of information of dongying city and fieldinvestigations,and the following conclusions are drawn:The strong human stress onthe environment, land ecological environment is fragile, and serious pollution of thewater environment were discovered2. In the period from2000to2010, annual rate of land use change reached thebiggest value; while in the period from1992to2000, that was the smaller. Land usedynamic showed largely spatial differences in monitoring period. The coastal areasand the economic developed areas of inland were regions where land use dynamicoccurred concentrated.In the entire monitoring period, expansion of construction landwas obviously, and the increased area of it was mainly from highquality farmlandnearby city;. Farmland area changed a little, but the spatial distribution changed a lot.This mainly resulted in the loss of highquality farmland nearby city and the incrementof farmland converted from grass in Yellow River Delta region.From the perspectiveof landscape response in class level, the shape of farmland tends to fragmentation andregularization; construction land has becomed increasingly activity, salt pan andshrimp ponds is tending to be concentrated and orderly; it is significantly that the highlevel of the intensification of grassland and the fragmentation of unused land; duringmonitoring period, the coverage of the forest has increased, the waterland weretended to concentrate and shoals were destroyed because of human activities3.The land ecological security of the Dongying City show a decreasing trend fromnorth to south. The ranking of land use safety like that: Hekou>Kenli>Lijin>Dongying District>Guangrao. Differences in the southern and northern parts ofthe study area, follow the nature regularity of regional differences that a gradualtransition to the arid region of southern inland plains by the humid northern coastalareas and its also in line with the increasingly developed economy from north to south...
