With the quickening of the process of urbanization, Nankangsignificantly increased the demand to land for construction purposes, whichinevitably lead to the further developing of contradiction between human and land.Construction land use structure and layout optimization study aims to economicaland intensive utilization of land resources, it is the important ways to realize thesustainable utilization of land resources,is also the important condition to realizethe sustainable development of social and economy of nankang.The contents of this paper is divided into fove parts:The first, according to the development direction and processes ofindustrialization and urbanization, the auther analyzed economic and socialdevelopment status and land conditions in using of Nankang, and analyzed therationality of construction land structure and distribution. pointed out the existedproblems in using construction land. and the auther found the driving force factorswhich lead to the change of construction land structure and layout with the help ofprincipal component analysis method. The above provided optimization idea andbasis on How to optimize the construction land structure and layout.In second, according to the analysis results of the first part, combined with thecity economy, population, land and urban development Strategy, the autherpredicted the scale of town land, rural residential land, industrial and mining land,traffic land and land for water conservancy facilities and special land in target yearsrespectively, in order to reach the total scale.In third, the auther optimized fatherly the structure of Construction land using linear optimization (LP) model，which used the total construction land predictionfor the foundation.In fourth, the auther optimized the layout of construction land of nankangusing GIS analysis tool on base of Optimizated construction land structure, whichcan realize the construction land configuration on quantity, location and sequencingin nankang city.Last, according to he city particular case, the auther put forward to thecountermeasure on how to Optimizate the construction land structure and layout inorder to use the urban and rural construction land efficiently and reasonably.
