This paper takes PanJin as the study area, which is based on remote-sensing images as the data source, and assisted in the software platform of ERDAS IMAGINE9.1and ArcGIS, the paper processes the Landsat TM remote sensing images of PanJin in the years of2000,2004and2010, and classifies the processed remote-sensing images by the supervised classification to obtain three periods of land use data of PanJin. Based on this, considering the coordinated development among the population, resources and environment, and using the mathematical statistical methods include AHP, objective weight method, Weighted Sum Method, etc, then the evaluation index system of land bearing capacity of PanJin is established. The system includes three levels, three subsystems and11indexes, to analyse and evaluate and the land bearing capacity of PanJin.Through researching the land carrying capacity of PanJin, the main research conclusions are as follows:(1)From2000to2010, the land carrying capacity of PanJin is rising and obviously progressing year; Land use intensity, the efficiency of land use and the structure and layout of land use is on the rise.(2)In2004and2010, the use of land resources and population are both in a good status of distribution, therefore land use intensity does well. In2010, the land resources of PanJin get the reasonable and effective management and utilization, land use efficiency of PanJin obtains improving between2000and2000, and in2010, it made a leap in the development, in addition, the structure of land use has also made a good change.(3)Land resources bearing capacity of PanJin that close to ideal state is in2010, it showed that land bearing capacity of PanJin is good, and the sustainability in land use is gradually improved.(4) In order to guarantee the sustainable utilization of land resources of PanJin, it must take into account population, construction, economy, ecological environment and various aspects factor to analyse regional land bearing capacity.
