When the Anti-Japanese War entered a stalemate, the base of War shifted to the Southwest Area, How to mobilize the people of the rear area to actively participate in the War, At the same time, In the critical situation of front battlefield defeated,and homeland lost, How to motivate people’s spirit and firm people’s confidence,that is the top priority of the KMT. Chiang Kai-shek standing spirit is more important than the the substances position, decided to launch the spirit mobilization,use spiritual strength to supplement the lack of physical force. In early1939,the KMT launched the National Spirit Mobilization Movement, which is an important measure to mobilize peopleThe National Spirit Mobilization of Chongqing is typical of the movement. It is a part of the movements of national spirit Story, so the analysis will help its macro grasp.The second chapter combing the evolution of the rise and development of the Chongqing’s National Spirit Mobilization, the movement can be divided into three stages. March1939to May, it is the rise phase of the movement, this stage includes: setting up a leading institutions and public opinion and propaganda; May1939to early 1941, it is the rising phase of the movement, which is characterized by the generally held with each of the national monthly a wide range of activities carried out; since1941, it is the decline phase of the movement, which has existed in name only.The third chapter introduces the leadership institutions and mobilization.of Chongqing’s National Spirit Mobilization.It was led by the National Spirit Mobilization Committee, at the same time it was led by the Mobilization Committee of Chongqing directly. Its mobilization,including organized the national monthly meetings, initiated practical activities in conjunction with other social movements and to hold an annual commemoration.The Chapter fourth evaluates the National Spirit Mobilization. there are two shortcomings of the National Spirit Mobilization of Chongqing:the prevalence of formalism and the public participation is not high enough. So its influence is manifested in two aspects:the actual activities initiated in conjunction with other social movements of the propaganda war of resistance generated a positive role; negative impact on the people, not only failed to win the people’s welcome, but interfere with people’s daily life.
