The Study On Suite Bergamasque Of Debussy

Debussy, the founder of the impressionism, began to show certain style characteristics in his early works. Suite Bergamasque was created in the late19th and early20th century. At the turning point of the century, Debussy initiated his unique style of art with the prospective perspective and exploratory music vocabulary. Finally, the paper makes the exploration and analysis of the Suite Bergamasque performed by six world-class pianists of different times and different genres, namely Walter Gieseking, Claudio Arrau, Sviatoslav Richter, Alexis Weissenberg, Pascal Roge, Jean-Yve Thibaudet. The paper is in the hope of providing a comprehensive and intuitive reference for the research and performance of Suite Bergamasque.
