Lin Whei-yin, a poet with personality, officially entered the literary in1930’s. As her decent job was the study of ancient architecture, she took on writing poetry as the way to show personally emotional practice, life experiences and artistic resources in the spare time. Lin Whei-yin fully devoted to writing poetry which is like a colorful garden consciously extended from the wonderful and bustling lobby. The narcissism presented in her poetry such as self-appreciation, self-respect, self-carefulness and self-presentation was that her artistic energy burst in a quiet place, just as it says,"a flower quietly blooming in the lonely forest".Narcissism complex commonly exists in artists’personality, especially female writers. In the hope that the comparison of cross-era poetess could make the classic charm in Lin Whei-yin’s poetry more distict and more significant, so this paper makes multi-dimensional comparison by comparing her style to both contemporary poetess and modern feminism poetry writers in discriminating Lin Whei-yin’s narcissism complex within her poems.In Introduction, this paper elaborates the research background, introduces the starting point, chief arguments and theoretical significance.Chapter One discriminates the outer image and the inner spirit in writing narcissism of Lin Whei-yin’s poetry. By selecting three representative mirror images——laughters, flowers and dream as well as a poetic image "lotus lamps", this chapter respectively discusses the outer image and the inner spirit of narcissism complex in her poetry.Chapter Two analyzes the emotional regrets and the diseases suffering in writing deep narcissism of Lin Whei-yin’s poetry. On the one hand, starting from the most intimate love poems, this chapter discusses that most of Lin Whei-yin’s numerous poems are embodiment of her narcissistic love, which wrote about the love stories of herself; On the other hand, by reading the most vivid poems of pain, this chapter explores the significance of deep narcissism in self respect and self poetic sound consolation in the poetry.Chapter Three, from the interdisciplinary perspectives, discusses the devotion of architectural art and the fine art and talents presentation in Lin Whei-yin’s poetry. The rich talent in architectural art made the architectural beauty of Lin’s poetry from the appearance into the spirit which is a magic high level of poetry. Meanwhile, painting and choreography are other important embodiments of the poem’s narcissism talent presentation. The discussion of this chapter would help understand that the classic charm of her poetry is closely related to various artistic self presentation.Chapter Four, after analyzing the narcissism complex of Lin Whei-yin’s poetry from many aspects, detects the individuality and the universality by comparing Lin Whei-yin’s poetry to the contemporary and modern poetesses’and finds out the literature history value of narcissism complex in Lin Whei-yin’s poetry.In the conclusion, this paper points out the limitation and summarizes the distinctive literary value in Lin Whei-yin’s poetry.
