| Now,along with the exchange and blend of Chinese and western culture, material standard of living rise and the rapid development of network technology, more and more teenagers show obvious characteristic, particularly personality displaying and high attention to themselves. In middle school, these narcissistic behaviors often cause the conflict between teachers and students, but also affect the academic achievement and their psychological adaptation. This paper was based on the foreign existing narcissism classification: overt and covert narcissism, wanted to make a further discussion about the narcissistic stability characteristics of junior students'overt and covert narcissism, and analyze the gender and grade difference, explore the attention bias differences of the overt and covert narcissism students to different sentiment types of words.Study 1: selected 181 students from a junior high school in Henan province, surveyed junior middle school students'features of two types of narcissism through questionnaire, understood the students'gender and grade difference in overt and covert narcissism, and further elected overt and covert narcissism groups, each group had 16 people to attend feedback task experiments, then analyzed the effect difference of different feedback types on the two groups.Study 2: the 32 students from study 1 were still participants, using 2 (narcissistic types) x 3 (word types) mixed experimental design, combining classical dot-probe paradigm, with positive, neuter and negative word as experimental materials, researched if two groups had attention bias and if they would be influenced by different types of words and narcissistic types, and further discussed the relationship between narcissistic types and attention bias.Through the above two studies, the following conclusions were obtained:(1)There were significant gender differences in junior students'overt and covert narcissism girls'overt and covert narcissism levels were both higher than that of boy students.(2) There existed significant grade differences in junior students'overt and covert narcissism, girls'overt and covert narcissism levels reached the highest in grade 8, and the boys'overt and covert narcissism levels increased with grade rise.(3) Overt narcissism was influenced by the success or failure of task feedback, while the covert narcissism was relatively stable. And successful feedback's influence for overt and covert narcissism was significant higher than the influence of failure feedback for two.(4) Two groups had significant difference on reaction time in different types of words, overt narcissistic group showed the attention bias to positive words, covert narcissistic group showed attention bias to negative words. |
