Luo Qi, an important writer in the middle period of Ming Dynasty, is also the key members of the Chaling school. During Luo Qi’s lifetime, he has a failure official career, but Studying, traveling, writing are the main way of his life, and he develops a school of his own in poetry in the Chaling school and identified by the corresponding period scholars and later generations of literati, during the early age of Qing, Huang Zongxi in the "Ming wen xue an preface" praised Luo Qi as the orthodox school during the Zhengde period, and pointed out that as the members in the Chaling school, Shao Bao and Luo Qi are the outstanding prosers, who are study under the pro.Li Dongyang.Luo Qi’s poems in imitation of Li Dongyang, and he finds an unusual style of writing as Han Yu, which has injected new vitality to the Chaling School; Luo Qi’s paper is full of new ideas and unique visions, which stands for the different style of the Chaling school. In this paper, through the study on Luo Qi’s family background, life experience, traveling, books,etc, then sorts out his ideological, literary ideas, and discusses the thoughts of his poetry, prose and the features of arts, to clear his influence on literal in the middle period of Ming Dynasty.The preface introduced Luo Qi’s life, elaborated the value and the research situation of this topic, and sort out the ideas of paper.The first chapter focuses on some basic issues, such as:Luo Qi’s family background, life experiences, traveling and works. Luo Qi was born in the Nancheng,Jiangxi, and his family are an official from generation to generation, so his thoughts has positive impact. He is an integrity person who praises highly of morality and justice. He is studied under the pro.Li Dongyang, study literature, Luo Qi grasps the essentials of Li Dongyang’s works, but his has his own style. He has a positive attitude to go into the society, is loyal to the king. So as to giving suggestions, he always gets praise. However, during the Wuzong period of Ming, Liu Jin corrupted the politics of the Ming state, so his suggestions were unaccepted, then he left in anger and lived in seclusion in the countryside; he chose to writing poems and drinking with his official friends and part members of the Chaling School, those were consist of the main content of his traveling. Luo Qi’s representative works are:"Lei Shuo","Memorials to Emperor of Gui Feng","the Collected works of Gui Feng". This chapter is the basis of the rest study of Luo Qi thoughts and literature creation.The second chapter sorts out the origin of his thoughts and expounds the specific information of his thoughts. The studies of this chapter laid the foundation for the deep discussion of Luo Qi’s literary concept, literary creation performance and the arts features of his works.The third chapter discusses Luo Qi’s literary concept and the ideological content and the arts features of his poem and prose.The main contents of his literary ideas are consist of "imitated the master’s literary creation, but he strongly against the prejudice of family status,""the unique and special of poetry idea","the creation theory of evoke against unfair". Luo Qi’s poetry includes drawing, praying and blessing. The main arts features of his poetry are unique thinking, unusual style and the old saying quotation. Local conditions and customs, daily life experiences, national affairs, constitute the main content of his prose. Unique ideas, critical thoughts, new logic, strong potential are the style of his prose. In the early period of Ming Dynasty, eliminating the disadvantages of literature, the influence of "study under the pro. Han", the pursuit of the literary styles are the main causes of the unique arts style of his prose.The forth chapter discusses the relationship between Luo Qi and the Chaling school. Clarifying the inheritance and development of poetry style of the Chaling school, preliminary deciding the delicate relationship between he and the Chaling school.The conclusion evaluates Luo Qi’s state and influence at the Chaling school and the literary world in the middle period of Ming Dynasty, then draws a conclusion. Meanwhile, this paper puts forward some problems on Luo Qi’s individual investigate and related research.
