A Report On Translation Of Manitoba Young Farmer Nominee Program Application Kit

With the development of economy, communication between China and foreigncountries is increasingly frequent. The original text in this report comes from animmigrant program──the Young Farmer Nominee Program in Manitoba ofCanada. Based on the author’s experience in translating the program material, thisreport first introduces the background of the program, requirements of the entrusterand the quality control mechanism, followed by a detailed analysis of the linguisticfeatures of the material, including words, sentence structure and text structure beforefocusing on, with the functional equivalent theory as a theoretical framework, thetranslation strategies deliberated from three levels: terminology, long sentences andculture-loaded expressions. This report is hoped to be helpful for the readers andtranslators.
