Study On Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Heritage

This article focuses on the study of Dujiangyan from the perspective of water conservancy heritage, while taking Dujiangyan under the water conservancy heritage system to discuss the rich heritage, value, protection and utilization. The dissertation is divided into five parts:Preface, the author simply introduces some basic information about Dujiangyan and the orgin of this article. But she concentrates her main attention on review and summary of Dujiangyan and water conservancy heritage.Chapter1mainly discusses the definition and classification of water conservancy heritage. beginning with the emergence and development of water conservancy, the author proposes the definition of the water conservancy culture, and puts forward the water conservancy heritage is cultural relics created by human beings in water conservancy activities. It refers to historical, cultural, scientific, technical, ecological and economic value aspects. This cultural relics includes hydraulic engineering, hydraulic structures, hydraulic equipment, water facilities and regulations, inscription, myths and legends, religious buildings, ritual and literature books.In the following parts, the author makes a classification about water conservancy heritage on the basis of its definition and proposes evalution system relevant to water conservancy heritage as well as the significance of this research.Chapter2focuses on Dujiangyan water conservancy heritage and its heritage value system.In this chapter, the author sorts out the creation progress and development of Dujiangyan. When placing Dujiangyan under the water conservancy heritage value assessment system, the author believes that Dujiangyan includes subjects and extension. While the subjects are Yuzui bypass dike, Feishayan floodgate and Baopingkou diversion passage, the extension involves ancillary works, hydraulic components, engineering technology, hydrographic surveying facilities, religious and cultural relics being with Li Bing as the center.As the extension constitutes Dujiangyan heritage environment, it should be strengthened to study and protect. Meanwhile, the author indicates Dujiangyan water conservancy heritage has historical, scientific, ecological and regional developmental value.The fourth chapter is about the protection and utilization of Dujiangyan. At first, the author summarizes the protection experience of Dujiangyan in the historical period and the conservation status nowadays, as well as problems on the protection and development. Dujiangyan continues to run over two thousand years, which must be the thanks to the active protection of ancient. As far as the conservation status is concerned, Dujiangyan local authorities have taken useful protection measures, but these measures put development as the first premise, and to some extent bring a departure from the spirit of the World Heritage Convention.Lastly, the author indicates the protection of Dujiangyan should draws lessons from the ancient Dujiangyan protection experience and follow "Protection to be the first, taking development into account ","Authenticity" and "Unity" principles.Chapter4, epilogue part, summarizes the contents of the full text, especially about the definition and significance of Dujiangyan water conservancy heritage. The author again stresses the research on Dujiangyan should be built on top of the positioning of water conservancy heritage. At last, this chapter also sums up the inadequacies of the study.
