The tendency of lowering ages of Chinese education is increasingly obvious inKorea in recent years. Many primary schools of Korean cities and areas have openedChinese class. However, many problems have appeared when Chinese educationdevelops fast in primary schools. Scholars in educational circles know only a littleabout primary school Chinese education in Korea, let alone deep research.The writer sent questionnaires to38primary school volunteer Chinese teachers inJeollanamdo and talked with them in order to know about Chinese educationconditions of63primary schools that they work in. Besides,4schools students wereasked to fill out questionnaires to know about their Chinese learning motivation.Meanwhile, the writer also consulted many academic related papers. On the basis ofnumbers and information acquired, this paper described the conditions of primaryschool Chinese education in Jeollanamdo from the aspects of learners, teachers,textbooks, and so on. It also analyzed the problems existing in primary school Chineseeducation and proposed suggestions for them, aiming at promoting the developmentof primary school Chinese teaching in this area, even the whole Korea.
