Ethical Reflection On The Violence Demolition

Since21stcentury, the city construction has developed rapidly and, at thesame time, many problems have also cropped up. This conflict is furtherintensified by city demolition, and at times by violence demolition. Violencedemolition is a very serious social problem, which has extremely badinfluence on the society development. The author thinks some hard methods,such as law and system, can play a role on these problems and conflicts, butthe final solution is morality self-discipline.This essay is based on ethics, and explores the historical resources andcurrent situation of violence demolition. The movement of enclosures inEngland in15thcentury, in China during Qing dynasty, and the process ofdemolition after People’s Republic of China established, shows that violencedemolition is a problem existing in people’s development process and alsoduring China’s society transformation. This essay mainly talks about a seriesof ethical problems on status, authority, credit, system and administrationloyalty resulting from violence demolition. After I analyzed these ethicalproblems, the reasons can be concluded as follows: expansion of utilitarianism,boundary blur of public interest, the conflict between facts and values, theincomplete system, and the bad effect of official-standardized thought. Inconclusion, this essay provides several solutions for the development idea ofhuman oriented, combination demolition system with ethics, the harmony of justice and efficiency, benign development of administration loyalty in orderto improve the situation of demolition, prevent the violence demolition, and toalign city construction with harmony, science and sustainability.
