Business English Translation In The Perspective Of Skopos

In recent years, with the rapid development of economic integration and globalization,business English translation is playing a vital role in international trade. It is also categorizedinto ESP (English for Special Purpose), and thus the features of business English translationhas its own features and are different form other different kinds of translations, such as,literary translation. Therefore, there also exists much limitation to the application of thetraditional translation theories in business English translation. This thesis mainly takes Skopostheory to the practice of business English translation from functional perspective. Meanwhilethe thesis also lists several points that the Skopos theory can be theoretical guidance tobusiness English translation. Besides it, this thesis proposes two fundamental principles----conciseness and exactness principles to guide the business English translation from thefunctional perspective. Finally, this thesis also put forward some practical and suitabletechniques for business English translation based on many practical examples.The final objective of writing this thesis is to give a guide of business texts translation inbusiness circle, such as business letter, memo, and business report. Besides this, it can alsoprovide a guide for the teachers who are specialized in teaching business English translationin the procedure of teaching.
