Since the expansion of college enrollment from1999, there are huge and rapid growth in the quantity, scope, majors and other aspects of colleges and universities. In recent years, arts major become very popular. With the dramatic increase in the quantity of arts candidates, many universities start to establish new-open art major. In this situation, career and employment guidance become a serious issue for university students, and also as nowadays public concern and the hot topic of society discussion. This makes the difficulty of career selection for art students more and more prominent. There have been some unique psychology features in art students, and these changes are need to be noticed and concerned by the whole society.For this article, an investigation&survey has been released, to research the status of Shen Yang art student career selection. The investigation gives a research from4points, which are society, universities, interest&motivation and personal character. During the research, we release and get back more than600questionnaires successfully. From the comparison between men and women, urban and rural, as well as art students and non-art students, we summarize the art student psychological characteristics during the career selection. Also, we analysis the causes and provide a guidance strategy for execution from the study of human resource market, universities and art students.This is an innovative research. This research is highly oriented, and specially targeted for art students. Through the analysis of research results, we try to get a solution with paticular strategy to face this issue. This research of careers selection psychology of college students, has practical significance.
