This paper is a concise study of the resentment concept of Pre-Qin Zhuzi, tryingto reveal the resentment concept of Pre-Qin Zhuzi with Balance Theory as its coreafter a literary analysis of the extant works of that time, then have a further discussionabout the Chinese people’s resentment psychology from three main perspectives of itscauses, behaviors and the strategy of its solution, which have their interacts andconnections, then attempting to explain and analyze the characters of such resentmentpsychology.The introduction mainly introduces the topics, the perspective and method of thisstudy after a concise summary of research status, then give a distinct definition aboutthe concept of resentment.The body part is divided into three chapters: the first chapter has a particularanalysis about the Pre-Qin classical works and ideas of Zhuzi, hold the view that themain cause of resentment psychology is the disequilibrium among morals, feelingsand benefits.The second chapter is a discussion about the forms of resentment psychology,holds the view that the reflections of such psychology are the pursuit of balance, thenhave a further analysis of its conductive ideas, forms and principles.In the third chapter, there is a summary about the strategy for the resolution ofsuch resentment psychology from three perspectives, namely,"I don’t blame people","people don’t blame myself","people less complaining".The last part is a conclusion, discussing the connections and separation betweensuch resentment concept and the Pre-Qin schools, pointing out its disadvantages andmodern influences, its adjustments and modern limitations, then having a reasonableprospect of its worldwide value.
