The Solfeggio and ear-training course is a compulsory basic course in thosevocational music colleges and normal colleges, which is both professional courseand basic course. There are many problems in current Solfeggio teaching, so theauthor tries to explore new ideas for the reform of Solfeggio teaching based on herteaching practice and teaching insights. The author has summarized and studied theactual situation of the multi-session students in her college with investigation, observation, feedback, correction, induction and summary and so on. The authormakes her students as the object of the reform of Solfeggio teaching and herultimate goal of reform of teaching is to stimulate students’ motivation for learning, improve students’ enthusiasm for learning and train students’ abilities. Theauthor hopes to change the traditional Solfeggio teaching and establish a morescientific and more practical teaching mode because the traditional Solfeggio teachingpath is general and its procedure is chaotic. The new teaching mode is as follows:First, the students were divided into fixed do teaching class and movable doteaching class according to students’ professional backgrounds. Students majoring inwestern instrument or vocal music were mainly in the fixed do teaching class andstudents majoring in traditional instrument and some vocal training students weremainly in the movable do teaching class. Secondly, in the different teaching class, students were divided into four groups according to their professional levels sothat the teacher can take measures to pratice education in accordance withindividual difference and follow in proper teaching sequence, which can graduallyupdate and replace the traditional teaching mode. After a stage of practice andexploration, students’ scores have improved compared with the original levels andthis reform is good for their smaller fields of study, so students like this reform ofteaching. The author hopes the teaching practice can help students improve theirSolfeggio training and self-study and can play an important role in improving their professional qualities and learning smaller fields of study.
