Three-Tier System Of The Most Frequently Used Words In HSK

As a normative level of the outline," The outline of the Graded Vocabulary for HSK " has caught the attention of scholars. Some scholars consider that the "Outline" in the word segmentation, term of meaning frequency statistics, style specifications, and part of speech tagging, there are still a number of problems yet to be revised.Among them, term of meaning frequency statistics is the basic problem of the "outline" and plays a decisive role in the outline’s perfection. There is no comprehensive description of it, but teaching status of this research is very consistent with actual needs.On this occasion, this paper,by studying the1220verbs of Class A and B, using the combination research methods of description and analysis, quantitative and qualitative, static and dynamic, on base of the support in the corpus,establishes the three-tier system of verbs of Class A and Class B in HSK,the frequency of the verbs and the proportion of the polysemous verbs’term of meaning.The system is valuable for the further improving of "The outline of the Graded Vocabulary for HSK", vocabulary teaching of teaching chinese as a second language,compiling textbooks and dictionaries,and can also be used to explore the relationship between frequency of verbs and the the number of terms of meaning and the "data mining" of the relationship of the terms of meaning in the polysemous verbs.
